The new fire & rescue station includes a dispatch/radio console, sleeping quarters, gathering room, laundry facility, exercise room, storage spaces, and a covered patio off of the kitchen. A four-bay garage, which can accommodate eight fire trucks, features masonry walls and heavy-duty gypsum substrate vinyl-surface acoustical ceiling panels to resist moisture (as the doors are often open). Other interior features include custom wood lockers, ceramic tile, carpeting, resilient wall base, solid-wood cabinets, and stainless-steel countertops in the full kitchen.
